Personally, I liked the speech, I thought it was appropriate, well-written and for a lesson plan, top notch. We are working on persuasion in class now, and the speech was appropriate to what I am doing. It is the first thing he has done I actually like. The DoE released ideas did not sit well with me, particularly the part about posting quotes in the classroom (think: Quotations from Chairman Mao) but that was quickly brought down a few levels. Just because towns like Doerun and Norman park are small doesn't mean the town has too look so run down and out of date. I have been to small towns that have fixed up and refurbished their downtowns and made it look really nice.
